Special treat
It’s Friday and in our house, even although we are both retired, the last day of the working week is “a fun-filled frolicking Friday”. That means that we have our favourite tipple followed by a slightly less than healthy meal. Tonight the meal was home-cooked fish and chips with pollock caught by N last summer and tucked up securely in our freezer meanwhile. It was delicious and we followed it up with blackcurrant pie made using blackcurrants from our own bushes. The blackcurrants have also been tucked up in our freezer since the day they were picked. I do enjoy using our own produce as well as that from farmers just down the road.
