It’s (a) spring!

Bertie and I took a walk up into the woods in the afternoon sunshine. Bertie decided that he needed to inspect our spring. Our main water supply comes from a stream whose source is a bog quite a bit higher up the hill but if we have a dry spring, which we often do, this spring is a great back-up for our water supply.
Bad news from the pond: we had a visit from an otter during the night which caused havoc, churning up silt and pond plants. There is no sign of any frogs now; I don’t know if they have escaped or if they have been eaten. However, there is quite a lot of frog spawn left.
