WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Aunty May’s Clock

It has been in the attic in our last house for a good few years and it has been in the attic in this house for 4 years.
My BiL (deceased) finally gave it to me after he’d kept it since my Aunty May died years before. He was an antique clock mender and had removed the finials from the top and bottom of the case to use on someone else’s clock! I didn’t really like the old dark wood casing but I like the clock itself.
Frank said he would try and construct a different casing. I’d like it to be plain wood and simple. I like the idea of old and new together. It may take a while.
I was out in the garden today and tidied up some beds, it was lovely to be out, the birds were singing and the doves were flirting. Spring is in the air!
Bella was happy to outside on her pallet bed too and even more-so when the neighbours and local kids came out and made a big fuss of her.

That’s all to report today!
Goodnight :-)X
