Sunset on St. Charles Road. Chimney pot silhouette
The Feast Day of Saint Mel.
I went out last evening to take a few shots of the sunset. We don't often get beautiful sunsets here, but Google showed several photos of Lancashire sunsets recently. This one is on the road where our closed Catholic church is and where three of my good friends live.
Today it is cold, 4c, a light wind, overcast. It is gradually brightening up.
I am getting on with washing and housework. Then I shall start a new crocheted scarf and continue reading Jasper Winn's Water Ways. I bought my husband Paddle by the same author, his first book, telling of his adventures around the coast of Ireland. We both enjoy a good adventure story.
I read about a Lakeland shop electric sherpa blanket in their sale. People are using it instead of central heating to keep out the cold, so it must be warm. The trouble is, indoor plants need warmth too. So far ours are coping well.
The unfolding story of the Earthquake in Turkey continues to be distressing. I can only watch so much.
Take care blip friends and enjoy Tuesday.
