The Ice Maiden of Bötsle
As I write my 3 companions are being entertained by some youthful percussionists who are performing in the theatre in town. I bowed out as the sound of my coughing and nose blowing would have been in competition with the fine music on offer.
Thank you for your interested comments and well wishes regarding this mean virus, I just hope it doesn't get passed around.
The ice maiden was made by Isaac and family a couple of weeks ago and is still standing , surveying the frozen land of sparkling crystals that crunch underfoot in the most satisfying way.
The weather gods have decreed a change and temperatures are set to rise from tomorrow.
I managed two walks today , one with spikes the other in snowshoes , the landscape is so pretty with its muted colours in contrast to the stark whiteness of the snow. I watched the pastel pinks and purples wash delicately over the horizon as night fell , so beautiful.
I also watched and videoed J and then K making oat crackers and sourdough crackers [ GF] , this time I shall make them myself when I get home , I shall ! I shall!
Grateful today for ,
Such thoughtful hospitality,
Your kind responses to my blip,
Another good book to read [ Richard Osman's third novel ]
