In flight ?

A strange photo of a Blue tit midway through an acrobatic move at the bird feeder. The challenge of the day was to identify a small flock of birds that were feeding on the ground around the bird feeder. They were Red Polls but the angle of the sun and the monochrome of the landscape meant that the red caps and reddish tinge to the chest looked black. It took Keith and I ages to work out work out what they were .
We had a wonderful windy walk on snowshoes in the middle of the day against an ever changing backdrop of fading light and gathering clouds .
While Keith kindly made a roast dinner , Jan and I spent time in the work room with printing on the agenda .
Another grand day enjoying simple and peaceful delights .
