A walk before the snow melt

It snowed heavily yesterday afternoon. I knew today's walk would be cancelled as it required driving down the valley. Some of us decided therefore to walk locally from the village. I knew that the temperature would rise during the day so we set off early just as the sun was coming over the mountain and were rewarded with beautiful scenery and views. The snow is disappearing rapidly off the trees and I hope it does not linger too long so that other activities are not disrupted.
