Dog Duty

How can a dog put up with this! Luckily he doesn't know what constitutes beauty or absurdity in our eyes; what difference a coif or a cut (the poor poodles), what matters is security and a doggie treat.
Esme and Jahmal came over for pancakes this morning, see Extra, then on a lark, we all went to the Expo for the Rose City Classic dog show. I love seeing it every few years for the dog show culture and especially to watch the agility trials.
Then, as if that wasn't enough for one day, we went with Eric's Portland niece and family to  the Alberta Rose Theater to see a one-hour performance of Vivaldi's Four Seasons by a local string quartet; a candlelit performance - there were hundreds of  (battery-operated) white candles, see another Extra, taken as the hall was filling up.
