Bankfield

The morning started with a hail shower which then turned to a short snow shower.  A few of us were going to the funeral of friend A's dad today, so the weather wasn't really welcome!  He was a really good singer and had appeared in several amateur dramatic society performances and sang with different choirs.  His songs were played at the crematorium, and then we went to the previously called Bankfield Hotel (now known as The Mercure) for a buffet.  His daughters had put together a slide show of photos, and played some of his songs.  A good send off. Photos are in the grounds of the hotel , the ponds frozen.
