The Snow Didn't Last

Thunder and lightning first thing, followed by rain, sleet and snow.  By the time I arrived at work, it was just rain and wind.  Drier and calmer tonight. 

Another early shift in the airport today.  I've mostly been meeting and boarding flights, and a spell working with oil and gas.  A good few delays again, with snow closures in other airports. A fine quiet evening by the fire, and walkies with Sammy. 

Even with the snow falling first thing today, the big thaw had already started.  A short lived snowy spell, just as well, when it's just over a 50 mile round trip to work.  Maybe a little premature closing the schools again today, but best be safe than sorry.  Unfortunately the only photo I snapped today, never realised it was poor quality when we were loosing the light after work.  Taken above Brune, Shandrick (Channerwick).
