Desert…

After a morning teaching, G packed a picnic and drove us to Ras Al Khaimah. We played the first one to spot a camel game. It was hard to look for a camel out of the car window and through a lens at the same time, so no camel in my photo.

A super drive. Well done G! The seven lane highways got less and less busy and the journey was good. The weather mighty chilly though! Even the shade followers in the group sat in the sun for our picnic on Marjan Island. Everywhere was pretty deserted too. First extra.

Tea at The Mangrove, Al Noora. I had my first jasmine tea. Very pretty it was, and tasted ..ok. Second extra.

A change of driver for the journey home and I was given the opportunity to see some old haunts, The Hyatt Regency and the now highly developed Corniche area.

A takeaway dinner and early to bed.
