Home studio / Heimkomputer

Back in Kirkby Lonsdale, today, primarily for a meeting at school. Thus, I had an evening in my home studio, working on the project that I want to complete by mid-March.

When I think back to my early twenties, playing for a short while with The Zane Gray Incident, and then in my own band, Halo Jones, the gulf between the kit we had available to us then and what I have just knocking around at home now is simply incomprehensible.

That’s in no small part down to the home computer, and the difference between the ZX Spectrum - the first computer we had at home - and the iMac in the picture is similarly extraordinary. 

And on balance, I'm glad to have been alive during the last four decades so that I could watch that amazing transformation in real time and, to some degree, understand what was happening.
