Am I weird to cook a Turkey......
.... on the 7th of January?
Last week I had this desire to find out if I could make a lovely juicy turkey myself.
Neil hunted a 6 kg bird last week and today I cooked it.
Found a lovely recipe from Jamie O and my morning started with prepping the bird.
It was in the oven at 2 pm and Neil and I went for a coffee at Black Pine.
I even made a chestnut gravy once the bird was cooked.
It was delish.
So - for dinner we had this big fat bird - (ok - we had a part of it only .....) with some veg and a salad and it was great.
Also great is that we do not have to worry about what to eat for dinner for another couple of days ... or 3 or 4
Blipping the result - looks good, doesn't it?
