Bluebell woods
May and the Bluebells are out in the woods, but between the sunny spells on our morning walk we were pelted with hail!
Very wild and blustery as we set off in the sun this morning. We (just the two of us today) were going to head up through the woods to the moors. When we spotted the Bluebells we decided to stay in the woods of the St Ives estate. There were plenty in the lower stretches as you can see here. In the lower inset photo you can just see a fallen tree from the last wild weather we had a few weeks ago. The roots are at the path edge and the branches have fallen onto an already derelict building. See

So glad we didn't get up to the moor as when the sharp showers came they were very heavy and predominantly hail. Nice to see the Bluebells even if we did get wet!
