Late? or Early?

Spotted this pure white Christmas rose this morning, a very pleasant surprise. The daffodils in the pot by the back door are coming along well too. (extra)
What a change in the weather again today too. There was some rain but nothing like yesterday thank goodness. Hopefully people haven't suffered too badly although I know there has been some damage.
We had a quiet day today with a brief visit this afternoon from Ali, Stuart and Josie. She amused me when she settled down in the playen to read my Moshulu catalogue (extra). It tied in well with one of our Christmas presents to her which was a gift voucher for a local children's shoe shop. To make it more interesting for her, I put the voucher inside a copy of Shirley Hughes book 'Two Shoes, New Shoes' which was one of my girls favourites.
We had a quiet evening, we're not great fans of New Year. We enjoyed watching another Only Connect and the second episode of Granite Harbour.
Happy New Year to all in Blipland, thank you for your friendship and support. I'm looking forward to another year's blips and friendships and some blip meets when possible too.
