Bath Abbey .. Knitted Nativity Trail

To be fair we didn’t know it was a trail until we were leaving the Abbey when we were asked to return our trail leaflets if we’d used them, there weren't any! We did stumble across Joseph, a couple of shepherds and two kings and an angel, but no Mary or Jesus.
Nice to see as I have made similar ones myself. You can see mine, which were made for Eda, currently residing on the top shelf above the Christmas tree, in the centre right picture. ( You can see it in situ on the Christmas Day blip - here)

We set off down to Larkhall this morning in hope that the showers had passed and we did see some sun but the hovering black clouds brought some more heavy rain so we caught the bus into Bath. Our first stop was Landrace on Walcot Street for a coffee but sadly it was closed till the 4th January!
I had something to return to Anthropologie for Grace and after finding somewhere else for a coffee we decided to take a look around the Abbey. It looked lovely despite masses of tourists visiting (including us!) Geoff and Annett, the neighbours who came for Christmas lunch, had been to the Carol service there on Christmas Eve and said it was wonderfully atmospheric.

We caught a different bus back that took us to the estate right at the top of Larkhall which was interesting. Back in the village we went into the Deli for a cup of tea before tackling the hill. We made it back in the dry!

Spent the afternoon doing another sewing job for Grace. They have been off all day visiting one of Grace’s Uni friends who has just moved from Oxford to Worcestershire. Quite a long way.

Waiting now for them to return.
