Est-ce qu'il est en train de manger ta gauffre?

I hope I get rid of my cough soon because it's really annoying me. Today should have been a lovely day but I was busy being grumpy because I was cold! Maryline picked me up at lunchtime and took me on an outing with Florimand and her parents. We drove to Les Estables to see les jonquilles - fields full of daffodils. Afterwards we drove down into the Ardeche to visit the Lac Issarles which was pretty but still cold, even in May. With my cold I didn't really want to spend to long outside, but Florimand made us stop about every two seconds to look at this and that. I know I'm being grumpy, he's only 7 years old, but for an English person trying to speak French it's quite hard to be interrupted every 2 seconds! Anyway, after the walk we had waffles which cheered me up, except from when we realised the waiter was actually eating my waffles. Well, they had made them incorrectly and he had the chance to eat the spares but we spent a while wondering what was going on! Still can't understand a word of Maryline's parent's accents... maybe that's why I spent most of the day feeling stressed!
