Forgotten

We had a very nice Christmas dinner yesterday. Turkey, Roast Potatoes, Parsnips, Carrots, Stuffing, Pigs in Blankets plus various sauces and gravy. Absolutely delicious but, all the way through, I had a vague feeling that something was missing from our packed plates.
That particular mystery was solved this morning when I opened the microwave to defrost some bread and was greeted by this sight - D’oh! The really worrying thing is that as they only take a couple of minutes to cook, I’m not sure how we missed them! As tea tonight will be a stir fry of all the left overs from yesterday, I’m sure I can incorporate them somehow.
A real “Twixmas” day today. We went into town for a coffee and a short walk. It felt just like a Sunday, with few people around and only a handful of shops open. I hope there will be a few more people out tonight when our band is playing at Ruskins in Kendal. It’s very rare that we play my home town, so I’m hoping to see some familiar faces later on. If we get a decent crowd, it should be a blast.
