It’s All Over Now

Christmas is over and Santa is looking pretty knackered after a night of delivering presents around the world.
Another walk today, in an attempt to repair the damage done by consuming one’s own body weight in chocolate over the past couple of days. I also managed to squeeze in a quick gym session.
Not the usual feel to Boxing Day - with most shops remaining closed for the first time in many years, town was very quiet and the drizzly weather meant only the brave - or foolhardy - were out exercising.
All the leftovers from yesterday’s meal were reimagined to make tonight’s tea - a sort of “Xmas dinner lite” and very nice it was too. Settling down now to watch the recording of “Anything Goes” from The Barbican. I would have liked to have gone to London to see it, but I’ll settle for this as the next best thing - considerably cheaper and much less risk of catching covid!
In spite of new restrictions in Scotland and Wales, still no announcements regarding England. With less than a week to the NYE gig and less than a fortnight to Panto starting, I’ll keep everything crossed and look forward to next weeks rehearsals.
