Train

The day started early with OH taking No.1 to the RM - they had an early start for a 9.00am appointment so I got up and made them a flask and breakfast.  I was up so decided to start on the vegetables and peeled some sprouts (why I bother - they hardly ever get eaten and the left overs thrown away?).  I had persuaded No.2 and JC to join me at BP although they would rather have had a swim or just use the gym but they came along, surprised themselves and enjoyed it! Home for quick shower and turn around ready to drive to Tenterden for Santa Special.  When I bought the tickets No.1 was well and we did think about getting a refund but she wanted the trip to go ahead.  (When I bought the tickets I did enquire whether the price was to 'buy' the train but I suppose they have to make their money somewhere?  We took a hamper and food and a bottle of bubbles and had a lovely afternoon.  No.2 took lots of train related pictures (loved a train set when he was young).  No.1 was tired but soldiered on and enjoyed the afternoon.  Home for nibbles and drinks.
