Christmas Walk

After last week's cold spell, the current 11°C feel more like spring than Christmas Day. 

P and I went for a walk in the vineyards this afternoon. On our way out, the sun lit up parts of the Rhine valley quite beautifully, and when we walked back home, the air was clear enough to spot the Hunsrück hills - about 80 km (50 miles) away. 

Otherwise, a relaxed and happy day at home. P cooked a non-traditional Christmas meal (a delicious tamarind curry), I played with the cats a lot, and they are sleeping next to my desk now. 
Tomorrow, we will cook for my mother and her carers and spend more time with them.
