Pellets

Like everyone else, we have had our problem with energy. This year the wood pellets price started rising sharply. I kept putting off placing our annual order, assuming in summer the price would reduce. We weren't in any need as the magnificent PV electricity generation since March has meant we haven't needed the system, heating water with an immersion heater.

Finally in July I had to bite the bullet, ordering the 6 tons we need for a year - cost around €600/ton. For years it has been €200! B the time we got delivery today, the price was €800 and the driver said there were virtually no supplies on the open market.

All very annoying, given it is a waste product that shouldn't suffer such price changes. Seems lots of coal-fired electricity works have started using pellets! In extra photo, the last 3 years invoices
