Progress

We have had to replace nearly everything on this tunnel except the metal hoops.Sheeting at this time of year is not ideal. It is difficult to get the polythene tight over the hoops. In the extras is a view inside and there will be a days work to refit the irrigation and another day to steam the floor.

A couple of extras included from Ormskirk church. The first is a picture of a  brass rubbing of the son of Henry de Scarisbrick who is buried in the church.Henry de Scarisbrick was a Knight who fought at the Battle of Agincourt.
The second picture from the church is a statue to William Moorcroft born in Ormskirk who was Englands first veterinary surgeon. He was also a pioneering explorer of Asia.

Helen and I have been on paperwork this morning and finished off traying up the 10.5cm Patio Plant pots this afternoon. We only have 8 more pallets to do and all the pots will be ready for next spring.

A call from Roy this evening. He has been to visit Peter in the home and found him in a bit of a state. He was sat with the other patients and visitors in the day room with his trousers around his angles totally unaware.Roy is too polite to take this up with the staff. I wouldn't have been.

Co-ordinated strikes across the country reminds me of a famous quote "Ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country".He should have added "but who gives a shit".

Cold and grey most of the day.Just an occasional bit of brightness.
