When I was on my way back from a 6 mile slog up to the moor, over to Thropton and back by the river and Tosson I spotted this very grand entrance to a house. Ailie got in touch to say she’d had a senior moment when she told me she’d not be back from NZ till 18th February. Turns out it is 18 January and she can come to the Scottish ballet after all. (I offered to treat her and Chris for their birthdays). I couldn’t get another ticket beside us but have bought one on its own - Mr C is quite happy to have that one.

We are struggling to keep warm. We had the heating on till 10 and it was only off till 2. I’m going to have a bath to warm up.
