Breaking Through

We actually saw some sun on the golf course for this morning’s round for the first time in a month, though not until we reached the 12th tee, where it was breaking through above the 13th fairway here.

I was only going to play half the round as our friends M & E were meant to be coming up from Torquay to see his Mum in the care home she lives in and we were going to meet them for lunch. She’s in her 90s now and her memory is not what it was: when they phoned the home in the morning to check that she was well enough for them to visit they discovered she’d completely forgot they were coming and had gone off on the organised day trip for a Christmas lunch. Anyway, we decided to reschedule our lunch for after Christmas and I got to play a full round.

After that we enjoyed our normal Tuesday routine with Sophie.
