The Open Book

Delighted to find that this time there are people running the Open Book - J from Brisbane and J from San Diego (see extras). We popped in earlier in the week and tonight they had a 'late opening' event. L brought along her ukulele and did a Joni Mitchell song - an echo of our stint running the shop back in 2015 when L did a set of songs from the shop, which we shared with the 'world' via Periscope (remember that?). B and B also dropped in with their kids and B did a song too - her lovely song, Charm on, Goldfinch. It is one of the songs on The Lost Words Spell Songs collection - a collaboration between a number of performers. B and B sing and play together as The Bookshop Band and also ran The Open Book for a while in the very early days. They liked Wigtown so much they moved here to live.
