Bizarre
Back blip 4
Sunny and very mild, and we made the most of the daylight with a walk to Blakeney on the paths across the marshes. It took a while to get there as we stopped frequently to admire the landscape and to watch the birds - hawks, marsh harriers, all kinds of geese, swans, egrets, wading birds...
In Blakeney we stopped briefly to eat our picnic lunch before returning to Cley, where we indulged in tea (and cake for MrM) at the café at the B&B.
Next, MrM drove us to Cromer for a wander round. As we walked along the cliff top, MrM declared that he could hear the sound of a fiddle coming from the beach. We descended the steep steps down to the prom, from where we could see the fiddle player among this little group, obviously filming for something. It was impossible to hear what they were playing over the sound of the wind and the incoming tide, and every so often they had to stop to move the piano away from the fast approaching water!
By then the light was fading fast, so after a walk out to the end of the pier and a wander round the town we headed back to the B&B, where we enjoyed a very nice meal cooked by Alan. A lovely day!
Couldn't resist posting a few extras, taken on our walk.
