Pillbox on the beach
Back blip 5
A circular walk from our B&B this morning, over a different stretch of marshland, calling in at the Norfolk Wildlife Visitor Centre as we passed. Like yesterday nothing too strenuous, though the longish stretch along the single beach was a challenge for the calf muscles! Again, lots of birds to watch along the way, and several seals bobbing up and down in the sea. This old WWII pillbox is partly buried in shingle on the beach, and people have evidently been building a little stone 'cairn' on the top.
Later, a trip to Norwich to visit my sister and her family, with a brief stop to look round Holt on the way. It's a while since we last met up, so there was lots of catching up over a Chinese take-away and a couple of glasses of wine. Finally time to drive back to Cley after an enjoyable evening.
