Veteran’s Day 2022

We were eating breakfast by 8:00 am. The rain started soon after we sat down. My BIL took us to the Bird in Hand bakery and then we perused the inside market/shops across the street. I bought Skylar chocolate covered strawberries to thank her for feeding kitties. We headed home in the pouring rain that our BIL navigated through without incident. The Veteran’s Day parade was cancelled due to bad weather; we expected the ceremony at the Helen Veteran’s Memorial would be also but I wanted that for my blip. They rented a huge tent and conducted the ceremony inside. We got there late but what we saw/heard was nice. More then ever our vets need recognition. Hubby bought us stuffed ham sandwiches for dinner. Rainy days make me sleepy so I believe a nap is imminent. Stay safe and healthy.
