Through the roof …

Only time will tell if this new roof, being installed today, will actually do everything it claims to do. It replaces the original thin perspex one, that allowed temperatures to reach 50 degrees centigrade in the summer and cooler than our freezer in the winter, with insulated panels. The installation went well. Now we will wait and see if it’s as good as it claims to be!

With our former conservatory now a “garden room” it was time to double-check with our energy supplier. I got through to a human remarkably quickly. Energy price rises are a challenge for us all now and something we hardly thought about a year ago when we moved in to our new home.

When the roofing team left we had time to put all our things back while it was still light.
