Job Done!

Thankfully, I slept almost 7 hours last night. But that meant I got up too late to get my blood taken at the nearby lab. It is a walk in appointment so I can go just as easily tomorrow. Today we celebrate the feast of All Saints; we attended 9:00 am Mass. Our state has early voting; hubby and I headed to the polls as soon as Mass was over. It felt good participating in such an important civic duty. Our son sent a text as we finished, saying they had tons of leftovers and ours were all boxed up and ready for pick up. We now have steak, crab cakes, fish bites, grilled chicken as well as sides. Plus, he packaged some fresh fish fillets for us to freeze and take to WV next time. How blessed we are. Hubby prepared the front lawn and over-seeded it. That process took hours. He also reserved his tent campsite for next year’s Merlefest event. One of our local Knights, a friend and fellow bluegrass lover, passed away unexpectedly. It is a stark reminder that we know not the time or place. I did laundry, emptied the dishwasher, and took care of general post trip jobs. I picked tons of ripening grape tomatoes from the garden. Sure hope this mild weather continues. It was so warm that we opened windows to let in plenty of fresh air. Dinner is sorted so it’s Kindle time. Wishing you lovely weather and outdoor enjoyment. My kids say this year’s flu is spreading rapidly throughout our schools and businesses. Chase has it this week. Not sure what Iran is up to but it sounds foreboding. Why can’t we just seek peace? Thanks for the visit. Stay safe and well. "Someone struggled for your right to vote. Use it!” - SUSAN B. ANTHONY
