Body Works

Sunny but chilly today. We had time to breathe this morning since hubby’s PT wasn’t until 1:30 pm. We contacted the doc to get help with the knee/leg swelling and pain - more meds. Started making an order for the kids’ Christmas stockings goodies. I grocery shopped while hubby worked with the therapist. It is disappointing when staples like Colby Jack cheese and vanilla yogurt are repeatedly unavailable. As I waited for him, I decided to give you a view of the typical strip mall/shopping center throughout the U.S. When we travel, we always notice that every shopping area has a tattoo parlor, nail and tanning salon. We are amazed how the population can support so many of the same type businesses. And lately, fitness centers are popping up everywhere as well; that’s what is next to this salon/spa. Since his pain meds are narcotics, we had to pick up the prescription order and hand carry it to the pharmacy. I collected Chase from the bus stop and took him home in between. Hubby was very tired by the time we got home. I decided to make an “easy” soup for dinner. The recipe said it would be prepared and cooked in 35 minutes. Two and one half hours later, I finally set hubby’s soup on the table. He said it was delicious so I guess it was worth it. Tomorrow should be a more restful day. And we are ordering pizza! Thanks for the visit. Take care of yourselves and maybe even find some time for yourselves. “Sometimes all we need is a little pampering to help us feel better…” – Charles M. Schulz
