Bertie was back at agility class today and what a star he was. At first he was too excited at meeting up with Daisy the golden doodle (mother of the eight pups) after quite a long break. However, as he grew tired, strangely he concentrated more on the agility course and less on Daisy and he completed a faultless round. I was so proud of him. The two were allowed some time of free play afterwards as a reward. (Extra)
In the evening, we had our Jacob’s Join dinner which we had planned at the beginning of the week and it was very successful. P, who was hosting it, came up with a very imaginative theme. Because of the tough economic times that many folk are experiencing, she suggested that we try to make our meal largely from things that were either home-grown, free or gifted to us. Also that we should wear old items of clothing with a story behind them. We exchanged some great tales and enjoyed the dishes that each of us had produced. My blip shows a dish that I took along to use as a butter dish but had actually been one that I ate from in my early childhood so fitted in perfectly with the ‘old’ theme.
