Tideswell Church

Last full day of our Derbyshire week saw the rain arrive with a vengeance.  We have got so used to having warm dry weather for our walking trips this year so the change in weather took us a bit by surprise.  Nevertheless we still managed a walk from our cottage to Tideswell, where we hid from the rain in a fine coffee shop (Nellies if you are ever in Tideswell) and made friends with a young Hungarian Vizla and her humans. After coffee and a glance round the second hand book shop opposite, we headed off in the rain making our way home and an afternoon trip to Buxton. This shot of the church was taken from a steep footpath just above Tideswell.
