Shield bug

Just a little bug,
found a leaf and stretching out,
chillin' in the sun!

Friday :-) Whoop! Met my mum and step dad for lunch and to drop my Grandad's present.  Very pleasant, we had a coffee, a sandwich and a chat.  Ben's blood sugars were climbing high so I was fielding calls from school about how to handle it. It's so much better now they can change his insulin pump without me being present, I'm so grateful they agreed to take that on :-)
It's been a bit of a battle to bring the bloods down though, he'd had 17 units of insulin by 4:30pm and it had hardly made dent.  He was getting really angry that I wouldn't let him eat any carbs.  He chased me around the kitchen a bit but finally agreed to have some nuts and bounce on the trampoline.  It mostly did the trick and it's all settled down a lot now. 
The little shield bug was from this morning when I had 10 mins to spare before I set off and assigned myself the task of 'find a quick blip in the garden' - I greeted the shield bug with huge enthusiasm when I saw him :-D. "ooo hello little shield bug, you are just what I was looking for!"  This is the tenuous grip on sanity that Blipfoto inspires :-D
