Frilly fungus

Our first day in the Tweed Valley was a Sunday so no fishing for N. However, he was very pleased to see plenty of water in the river. There was water in the air as well but it dried up by late morning so we took Bertie for a walk in the woods where we came across today’s blip. We planned the route of our walk to take us past a dog-friendly cafe where they have the best carrot cake, N’s favourite. I was more adventurous and tried a warm scone containing vegetarian haggis and pumpkin seeds, topped with onion chutney. We were both very satisfied with our choice.
