Sunshine

The weather turned out much better than we expected, with sunshine for most of the day. After dropping N off at his fishing beat Bertie and I had a lovely walk in Thornielee Woods. This has been a favourite dog-walk for over twenty years; firstly with Corrie the Border Collie, then with Rory, also a Border Collie, and now with Bertie the Sheltie. The blip shows the view looking across the Tweed Valley to the ruins of Elibank Castle.

Meanwhile, down on the river, the fisherman was enjoying himself although not having much hope of catching a fish. He has been wishing for rain for the past week and his wish was granted. However, too much rain fell over the weekend, turning the river into something resembling Brown Windsor Soup. Some people are never happy! ;-))
