No time like the present..

Today I've discovered that I'm not as young as I was. It's been a slow day, probably brought on after the pub last night, but more likely by having I & S round after for more beer, wine and whisky. It was gone 3 when they left.

I awoke this morning, still asleep, let the hens out, and went back to bed, after feeding the cats and dog. I was up again before midday but haven't done much.

Listened to the Exeter Gloucester game on the radio. An interesting game with the cherry and whites 18 points down after 20 minutes. By some small miracle, they staged a recovery, leading 39-37 with a minute to go. Then they gave a way a penalty, finally losing 40-39..

This clock has always been temperamental, and has eaten batteries. It stopped for the final time the other day, so I looked at Amazon. Have ordered a replacement works, but had to remove the motor to check the spindle size. Cost? £3.79 with free postage.

Cloudy and wet this morning, but stopped raining early afternoon, and it's just brightened up with some sun..
