Lincoln cathedral

“How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of hosts!” Psalm 84v1
Went to the Sung Eucharist at Lincoln Cathedral and was able to sit behind the choir. Was delighted to see all the candles are real and we had a baptism in the middle of the service. Was made very welcome and went into the Chapter House to have coffee and cakes. Lovely lady told me about the history and that the first English Prince of Wales was declared here by Edward the first. The seat is still there for us to see. I marvelled at how these beautiful buildings were constructed with none of today’s technology. Spotted the imp and read about the legend of him being turn to stone by angels who were very annoyed with him causing mischief. I had to return to the castle to show my little grandson the dragon Lucy in real time. I may have to make up a story about a friendly dragon to send him as he looked quite worried despite my reassurances!
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time in Lincoln and the beautiful campsite by the river Trent. Had a lovely chat with some locals in the pub last night but today leave on my trip up to Yorkshire.
