Touch of autumn
Well, it’s been a sunny blue skied day, about 14° - quite a drop from yesterday’s sunny blue skied 25° Italian day, but nonetheless, it’s pleasant. A real touch of autumn in the air and in the leaves in the park.
I popped up to see the doctor about my breathlessness which really slowed me down in Italy, even more than usual. Going for a chest X-ray.
Archie and I took a wander to the Links while JR went to the supermarket. I must say, we’re a bit over pizzas, pasta and burrata… Luckily, we had a wee kitchen and got salad stuff etc from the wee market. The first pizza we had was a ‘Greek’ one - olives, feta and a few sliced tomatoes. But there was NO tomato base!! I didn’t even know that was a thing - a pizza without a tasty tomato base?? But we got a tube of tomato paste and added that to our take-home leftover pizza for a much improved meal the next night.
I’ve got a new audiobook - Kate Atkinson’s latest - ‘Shrines of Gaiety’. But unfortunately, while listening to an audiobook on the sofa, I generally nod off after a few pages…
