"They Call the Wind Mariah"

The wind blew wildly all day! The temperature soared! The pool filled with leaves and debris! In spite of all that, it was a darn good day.

At the college, Week #11 wrapped-up today in my classes. All my students are revising and refining a persuasive essay which is due next week. They thought the project was due today, so they came to class with drafts that they thought were ready for a grade. Then we did a "peer critique" workshop and all of them thought that more time out of the classroom to work on their papers would be helpful. Hopefully that's true.

I spent the afternoon reading and commenting on the essays they submitted a week ago. Some of them have written well-developed, thoroughly elaborated drafts. Some others, however, have not.

Now, I'm just tired.
