Arrival

My plane arrived on time this morning in Reykjavik, Iceland and I met up with Energia shortly thereafter. We solved my iPhone issue and then went off in search of our “contactless pick up “ rental car...which went smoothly. We headed over to the https://www.bluelagoon.com/ where we spent the morning soaking in the healing waters. The main blip is a shot of the waters outside of the lagoon itself, but it shows the amazing color of the water.

We had a fabulous lunch and then went off to the Reykjanes Penisula - just south west of Reykjavik. Extraordinary sites, including the Brimketill Lava Rock Pool (the first extra), The Gunnuhver Hot Springs - now virtually spewing boiling water constantly. Also near the Lava Rock Pool at Valahnukamol , where we saw The Great Auk sculpture by Todd McGrain as well as the general forbidding nature of the area.
