Essex tour

Bro and I spent the entire afternoon touring various Essex villages and hamlets making a sort of circular tour of the North East Essex Dengie and Winstree Hundreds. We had our picnic mid afternoon on the water front in West Mersea (today's photo), watching families strolling, crabbing and just enjoying their afternoon, as were we.  

England has such curious place names doesn't it!  Today we drove through Great Baddow,  Sandon, Butts Green, Danbury, Woodham Mortimer, Cock Clarks, Purleigh, Stow Maries, Latchingdon, Cold Norton, Tillingham, St Lawrence, Bradwell, Maldon, Mersey Island, Layer de la Haye, Layer Marney, Great Wigborough,  Peldon, Colchester, Lexton, Stanway, and Hazeleigh.
