Having played steadily for the first 5 holes, my game went rapidly downhill on this morning’s golf round, particularly my putting which is normally pretty reliable.

The rest of the day was a whirl of workman, with the plasterers arriving to do an evening shift and eventually giving in to the darkness at half past nine with one wall still to do. They certainly put some hours in.

In between we sandwiched in a visit to the travel agent who wanted to talk through a change in our flight times for a holiday later in the year.
