Raglan Castle
We headed home this morning after our few days in Herefordshire, stopping here at Raglan Castle on the way.
Although it’s “ one of the ruins that Cromwell knocked around a bit”

it’s still an impressive building and gives a very good idea of what life in the 1400s must have been like.
It’s easy to imagine the main courtyard in extras bustling with servants, horses and armoured knights. Just liked the sculpture of books on what remains of the steps up to the old library.
Got home to find that there’d been a power cut while we were away which had tripped a fuse and turned off both our freezers, leaving everything defrosted and beyond salvage. Rather put the dampeners on things.
