Repainted to honour the queen

This is the outside of a house quite near in Hampton Wick. It was painted with a Union Jack first to celebrate the diamond jubilee in 2012 and has been regularly touched up, most recently for the diamond jubilee earlier this year. I think I have blipped it previously. They used to have a Union Jack flag flying but replaced this with a Ukrainian flag earlier this year. I had heard they had changed the colours so popped over to see this morning. They have also removed the colourful flowers in the window boxes and have planted some white flowers. Such a lovely tribute.

I may go up to London tomorrow to see tributes in Green Park and possibly watch the procession along the Mall.

It has been raining on and off all day and the temperature is noticeably chillier than yesterday. Lots of washing and household tasks to do plus sorting out which newspapers and supplements about the Queen that we want to keep!
