We’re gonna fight, fight, fight

This was to be a rest day for me, after the winery, but since I was in my bed at 8 pm I was pretty damn fresh and ready to go.

Si had already planned alternative activities, should it be that I was alive and upright, and so it was that we were in the car and heading for the beach by 10 am.

Rye, then Hastings, Pevensey Bay, Eastbourne and Brighton.

I can't believe i was that far away, right down at the bottom of the country.  I Love the seaside, wherever I am, so this was a perfect day.  Except for the seagurls.

We didn't stop in Pevensey and Only lolled on the beach at Hastings, It's a very beautiful pebbly beach.

We opted for Fish and Chips on the Prom (Victorian don't cha know).  Then when we sat at the tables, the dreaded seagurls surrounded us.  Railings, tables, Lamp posts.  They were everywhere.    We took our chips and headed for the end of the pier.  The seagurls are so stupid they think that only people eat chips outside the chippy.    They didn't come near us farther down.

We wandered the pier, and mourned the sad state of some of the buildings.

Then we visited Beachy Head and looked at the RAF monument and walked around the cliff edge.  Lovely

Back in the car and off we headed to Brighton.  I was quite keen to bump into Stephen and Daniel from Gogglebox.  I gazed along the prom at all the houses, but couldn't decide which it was.

We wandered the length of that prom too - and looked at the I360 but it was now raining and very low cloud and I doubt we would have seen anything.

Back in the car and off to The hotel again.  It took us about an hour and a half.

then we ate in the restaurant, suffered the slagging from the staff, which was becoming the norm. and then headed to bed for an early night.  Up and at it the next day!
