Despite a heavy downpour half way round, I managed my best score for a while on this morning’s visit to the golf course, enough to drop my handicap by another stroke.

This afternoon we were back to our term time routine of picking Sophie up from school, albeit from a different classroom and teacher. Her dance classes don’t start for a couple of weeks so there was time to play a couple of games before dinner.

Having just put her to bed, I caught sight of this rainbow above a rather ominous sky. Spot the seagull under it?
