Stonechat
After we dropped Sophie at school we headed to Kilve beach again and were there before 10 o’clock while there was still a bit of sea haze to take the edge of the heat.
We spent a couple of hours walking and blackberry picking along the coastal path., which was very peaceful with just the murmur of the waves and the occasional bird call. This stonechat stayed long enough for me to fire off a few shots.
The hedgerows were full of fruit and we had no trouble filling three ice cream tubs, over 3lbs in all.
With the sun having burst through the haze by late morning we headed for the shade in the garden of the tea rooms for another savoury scone lunch.
