The Gardener's friend

This morning, in bright sunshine, walked round the garden with Al's Mum who is staying for a week. So much has happened since we have been away and the little espalier pears are in full bloom. We wondered how the blossom was going to get fertilized as it was sunny but cold and then we saw lots of these lovely little bees feasting on lots of garden flowers. So my blip had to be of a bee as it must have been warm enough for them to be active. Later I saw an enormous bumble bee but of course didn't have a camera to hand as I was potting up tomato plants for my offspring!
Roll on summer.
